While driving through the California desert at night I started noticing these moments of articial light illuminating structures or small areas of the landscape. I would pass one then another, each seemingly disconnected the from the next due the lack of ambient light. Capturing these moments, isolated in the world, oddly, gave me a comfort. I’m sure some would say this brings on feelings of loneliness, but I see them as more contemplative, and comfortable with their place in the world.
